I've been quietly developing an ARPG based off of Rocs (Roc Wiki) and I was thinking of adding different types of birds/chiropteran. I don't know how far I'll get on my own, but I'd love to invite Stryx users to brainstorm with me, and possibly help? I was thinking of calling the ARPG Wings of Starlight. There wouldn't be any biorhythm bonus, and I'm working on advancement and such, but I'd love some feedback? If you're interested DM me and I'll send you my Discord!
IT'S IN VERY EARLY STAGES
https://www.inymbus.com/ The DeviantArt page features a diverse collection of artwork by the artist Dracostryx, showcasing unique styles and themes. Visitors can explore various pieces, from illustrations to digital art, highlighting the artist's creativity and skill. Engaging with the art and community can provide inspiration and connection for fellow art enthusiasts.
I didn't realize this group closed, I've been checking in on it for years. What happened?
It's a bit difficult to trace everything back, since all news posts were deleted, along with anything else stored on PD. I can no longer access the discord, where the last bits of information were given. Initially, the group was put "on hiatus" like a year ago. The group discord was also closed for new members. What followed... was a whole lot of nothing. We were told nothing, there were pretty much no news about anything they were planning, what they were working on, etc. Nothing but silence for months, besides banning several people who dared to ask for updates.
Well, and one day they just dropped a big post on the discord that the ARPG won't come back, people who invested money into the ARPG were not getting refunded, etc. At the same time the discord group was "archived", meaning no one could write anything anymore, the players had no way to ask or reconnect with each other.
Also, no one bothered to make a public announcement. All was just hidden on a discord where no one could see it. PD still has just the "on hiatus" message on the Dracostryx page, no one will ever tell them that the group is dead.
Some time later, all the imports on PD were also deleted. Again, no one bothered to make a public announcement.
Well, that's pretty much it, I think. I don't know if there was more, I left the discord after the initial big bombshell post.
Oof, that sounds like that could have been handled much better. I'm sorry the community had to deal with such a mess, I hope y'all find a home in better communities in the future.
Do you know of any way of getting into contact with old Dracostryx staff outside of the google form? I submitted a form ages ago but have not received any replies yet.
I'd love to set up an unofficial continuation of Dracostryx but I'd like to know if the creator is uncomfortable with such or not.
