First of all, an enema is when you get your whole colon cleaned out. What they mean to suggest is a douch, which rinses out the rectum, which is where the penis will be reaching. An enemy would have you squirting water out as it comes back down 10 mins, 20 mins, 30 mins later.

Secondly, some guys don't care too much about that stuff. Very few actually want shit on their dick, but some don't mind a 'clear' ass. I mean in the past, that's how it was done, it's only more recently that we've been allowed to be more picky. Some tops are ridiculously particular about it and I consider them contemptible considering what you're willing to do for them.

Thirdly, you can do a douche with some kind of kit, or some rounded-nozzle squeeze bottle with warm (NOT HOT) water and maybe just a tiny bit of mild soap. I do this with a tiny bit of Ivory liquid so it doesn't burn, but does a slight rinse. The rectum almost all of the time is empty, and there is only the natural lube the body makes, as well as the odd tiny 'pebble'. Of course if you're having problems with digestion, it might be a bad time to be having anal sex anyway.

Another thing you could do is go to the bathroom, not long after that have a shower and stick a soapy finger inside (it burns a little), and rinse it out. This makes sure enough area is clean for a guy to rim and the ass will be decently clean inside.

On the other hand, some guys will like to taste the inside of your asshole and won't want it to smell like soap. Some like sweaty asses. Some will want you to suck them after they've been buttfucking you. In any case, you should talk this over first, and if you tell him it's your first time, it will probably occur to him that it should be talked about first.

One more thing: When you use lube up your ass, it coats the dick and the walls of the ass, and that is mostly what you will see/smell when he pulls out.
