EastEnders’ Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) made a huge decision about her future on Wednesday as she sought to put a traumatic few years behind her.
Earlier this week, fans of the BBC soap saw sisters Denise and Kim Fox (Diane Parish and Tameka Empson) encourage the Queen Vic landlady to get back into the dating game.
However, she instantly shut down the suggestion and has since made it her mission to set son Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) up with Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison).
As we returned to Walford on Wednesday though, she was forced to re-examine her own love life when her attempts at matchmaking failed.
Johnny and Felix both rejected the idea of going out on a date after Linda cornered them in the Albert to reveal she’d booked a table for them to enjoy dinner at Walford East.
An angry Johnny told his mum to stay out of his love life, before Linda then headed off to check in on Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who recently returned to Walford after his stay in a mental health unit.

Encouraging him to open up to ex-wife Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) about his residual feelings, Linda realised she too needed to open her heart.
Popping by the salon to see Kim, Linda then told her she would let her set her up on a date through her dating agency The Fox Catcher.

And while it was clear Linda still had her nerves and reservations, spoilers have already revealed she will soon meet with a man called Jeff at Harry’s Barn on Thursday – but is she ready to put her beloved ex-husband Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) behind her?

Linda was left heartbroken after he went missing at sea back in 2022 and Mick’s presumed death sparked a devastating chain of events including her alcohol relapse and her killing Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
With Linda’s life now back on track, a new fella could be just what she needs…
